How important are relationships in your business? If you're a small business like mine, they're essential.
Building relationships takes time and effort, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret...brand photography can make building relationships faster and easier.
These days attention spans are shorter than ever. You need to give people a reason to stop and check you out. Think of that as the beginning of the relationship.
When was the last time you stopped and visited someone’s website? What drew you there? Was it a social media post? What caught your attention to read that post? It was most likely the photography.
It’s not a coincidence that posts with photos get more traction.
Brand photography that shows you as being professional, friendly, approachable, or gives some insight into what it might be like to work with you makes your company appear more trustworthy. It makes people want to learn more and feel less awkward about reaching out for more information. It can make you more memorable because people got a feeling from looking at your website, not just information.
That’s a great way to stand out from your competition by the way…
Using photography that the audience can relate to or see themselves in is a great way to build trust before you’ve event met. It’s a great way to speed up the relationship building process because people are already familiar with you and your business before reaching out.
Maybe they’ve seen photos of the office they’ll be walking into, the people they’ll be working with, or someone using the product or enjoying the service they’ll be purchasing. That familiarity makes it easier for them to say “yes” to working with you.
Let the relationship begin!
